i dont understand why most ppl don’t just use kickstarter as a presale thing. i’m going to sell my album for $10. give me the money upfront on the strength of “you liked my music in the past, you will probably like my music in the future.” fuck a signed copy. let’s keep it simple.

I believe in olden times this idea use to be known as pre-orders. With the advent of the internets it seems that people have forgotten that you could get money from fans to press a record without using kickstarter or offering dumbshit like I’ll mention you in the liner notes or give you some stickers!
